San Miguel
San Miguel County is named after the beautiful San Miguel River that runs through it. This waterway provides not only stunning scenery but also opportunities for rafting, kayaking, and fly fishing. Apart from the river, plenty of exciting adventures await. Warm-weather activities include hiking, climbing, biking, jeeping, and so much more. During the winter, you can go skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, and ice skating. Throughout the year, Telluride organizes a slew of festivals that highlight just about everything. Telluride, the county’s largest town, has a population of just over 2,000, giving it a small-town feel. It is nicely situated in a boxed canyon, surrounded by forested mountains. Telluride is diverse with everything from the rugged San Juan Mountains to luxurious resort communities. This community is steeped in history, and there’s always something new to discover about its place in the American West. Boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and much more can be found in downtown Telluride’s Victorian-era buildings. With year-round events, there is something for everyone. Boredom remains banished from this setting!Sorry we are experiencing system issues. Please try again.
